Season 14 of Apex Legends arrived on August 9, bringing a new Legend Vantage and significant changes to the Kings Canyon map. Season 15 is next, so here’s everything we know, including the expected start date, leaked caption, and more.
Apex Legends is now in its fourteenth season since its release in February 2019, bringing new weapons, maps, and of course Legends throughout the seasons. Season 14 brought Vantage to Apex games, along with increased level caps and changed Battle Pass challenges.
Season 15 is coming later in 2022, so here’s when Season 14 is expected to end and usher in the new season, plus the leaked legend and map that may be coming.
Apex Legends Season 15 Start Date and Season 14 End Date
Although Respawn Entertainment has not revealed a release date for Apex Legends Season 15, Season 14 is expected to end on November 8, 2022.
Assuming there are no delays, we expect Season 15 to kick off right after Season 14 ends, bringing a new Battle Pass, Legend, and maybe even a new map.
New legend leaked for Apex Legends Season 15
According to data mining by “SomeoneWhoLeaks”, Catalyst should be the legend of Apex Legends Season 15.
Catalyst’s leaked abilities have been known for a while now, where Legend will be able to create cover and platforms with Ferrofluid. SomeoneWhoLeaks said the Season 14 update added “New lines of code for the next Legend, Catalyst”, with the files including a “ferro_wall” capability.
Here are all of Catalyst’s leaked abilities:
- Passive: To reinforce
- Standing near your Ferrofluid structures, doors, and other placeable Legends will strengthen their integrity and allow them to take much more damage.
- Tactical: Iron Shot
- On impact, the shot creates a ramp of hardened ferrofluid that can be extended with more shots. Can also be used to create platforms on walls. (Max 3 structures)
- Ultimate: iron tower
- Ferrofluid rises from below pushing you upward while creating a large, solid column below you.
Of course, this is just a leak at the moment, so Catalyst could be scheduled for a later season or scrapped entirely.
A new map could be coming to Apex Legends Season 15
An upcoming Apex Legends map called “Divided Moon” leaked in March, and if Respawn Entertainment stays consistent with how often they add a new map, it could arrive in Season 15.
Respawn tends to add a new Apex Legends map every four seasons, with Season 3 bringing World’s Edge, Season 7 bringing Olympus, and Season 11 bringing Storm Point. This means Season 15 could be the next season to bring a new map, but there’s no guarantee.
