BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles BYD, today inaugurated its first passenger vehicle dealership showroom in Ernakulam, Kerala. The concessionaire will be managed by EVM Southcoast in Kochi.
The showroom was inaugurated by Sabu Johny, Managing Director of EVM Group in the presence of senior officials from BYD India and EVM Southcoast.
EVM Southcoast will provide consumers in the Kerala market with access to BYD’s pure electric vehicles. In November 2021, BYD India had launched the e6 electric minivan for Rs 29 lakh. In accordance with FADA, the body of apex dealers, BYD India sold a total of 153 electric vehicles during the April-July 2022 period. The company also markets purely electric buses.
August 10, BYD India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HDFC Bank for equity financing for its dealer network across India.
According to BYD India, the 2,500 square foot showroom is equipped with well-trained technicians and comprehensive facilities including service bays, customer lounge and electric vehicle charging stations, aimed at providing customers with the best in-store experience.
