Motorvogue opens second new Stellantis multi-brand car dealership in a month

Motorvogue has opened the doors to a second multi-brand auto dealership in less than a month as it continues to accelerate investment in franchise partner Stellantis’ brands.

Northampton-based car retail group AM100 has opened the doors to its new Citroën, Fiat and Abarth cars in Bury St Edmunds less than four weeks after opening a new Alfa Romeo and DS showroom in Norwich.

In 2023, Motorvogue also plans to add a Peugeot dealership to the site which already provides used cars as well as authorized after-sales service for Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Citroën, Fiat and Abarth from Stellantis.

Commenting on the Group’s new franchise additions, Group Managing Director Jonathon Pochin said: “I would like to thank my team for all their hard work and commitment which has enabled us to transform a tired franchise within Bury St Edmunds into a superb Stellantis multi-brand centre. .

“The site has undergone a complete renovation inside and out and my senior team and our contractors have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks to enable our latest dealership to proudly open today.”

Motorvogue has recruited a new managing director for its Bury St Edmunds site in the form of former Inchcape brand manager Nathan Williamson.

Service Manager Ben Kaye, meanwhile, has joined the company from the John Banks Group.

Pochin said: “I think we have assembled a great team on site to complement the fantastic facilities we have, and I personally welcome our new site management team of Nathan and Ben to the group and j look forward to working with and growing our new business. with them and their teams over the coming weeks and months.

Motorvogue’s development in Bury St Edmunds reflects a trend towards multi-brand retail and aftermarket facilities for Stellantis brands.

Earlier this month, the OEM expanded the range of cars available through its approved used car program, SPOTiCAR, to give customers access to models from Fiat, Jeep and Abarth retailers.

In December Vertu Motors made a £600,000 investment in a new Bristol Street Motors service center in Harlow, specializing in the Stellantis Vauxhall, Citroen and Peugeot brands.

In February, Robins & Day also added the Fiat and Abarth brands to its existing Peugeot and Citroën showrooms in Sale and Birmingham Central as part of a Stellantis multi-brand car dealership campaign.

The changes come as Stellantis implements a restructuring of its operations that will see the termination of franchise agreements by 2023 and a change in agency model within four years of that point.
